Dressed to kill and make game development longer
The latest issue of Famitsu delivers yet another hefty serving of Square Enix goodness, this time with some quick updates on several titles: Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, and Final Fantasy VII.
First up, the skinny on Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days is that it's almost complete. The game is now on its final areas of debugging and will likely meet its release date in Japan on May 30.
The same can't be said for Final Fantasy Versus XIII. We still don't have a definite release date, and we don't know just how much of the game has been completed in development, but at least we know that the designs for the main characters' clothing is complete. Can't save the world without the proper wardrobe you know.
As for Final Fantasy VII, it seems that Tetsuya Nomura is considering a compilation series for the franchise. He explains that he believes he's done all he wants to do for Advent Children, but he already has ideas for the next product in the compilation. I won't start counting on a Final Fantasy VII remake yet though.

if this is going to be the game with the longest development history. If they don't hurry, then they will miss this console generation. Or maybe M$ payed then to wait for the 720?(j/k)
Will be "acquiring" KH and looking forward to VS in the future. Can't wait to see what they do with FFVII next.

Ugh... I'm probably going to get burned at the stake for this, but I'm sooo tired of FF VII. I'm sorry, but I really don't think it was that great... It was good, but not the mecca of FF. Grant it this is my opinion, but I think VI was the best. Square kind of went to crap once Sakaguchi-san (creator of FF and quality overseer of many Square projects until 2002) and Uematsu-san (composer of FF music until 2003). They should stop with the sequels and just focus purely on new games! Channel back the wonder years of your late SNES and PSone creativity and awesomeness, Square!
The longest is Gran Turismo Mobile which was announced practically at the launch of the PSP and guess what it's not out and they said it's not coming out until Gran Turismo 5 which then is probably the 2nd longest game in development.
is Final Fantasy X but I'm afraid I might be alone in this one since I think I'm like the only one who thinks that.
i think they already made enough new games (cough dissidia cough) we all just want a complete remake of FF VII and bit me but i think they should continue working on the psp's FFs and they should make a new sequel to crisis core to complete the VII story i think they should call it "after the crisis" because it was really crisis i almost cried when i saw it (you will stay in our hearts zack)

u ain't alone!!!, ff10 was awesome,best by far :), i cudnt stand finishing ff7, but to b fair, i didn't play it back in the day wen we didn't kno better lol
Kingdom hearts only for PS3? Hopefully it'll stay that way .
Ive been saying they need to remake ff7 for next gen for a long time now...and seeing as ff13 is for 360 and ps3 square isnt just sony exclusive anymore so anything BIG will now be for both consoles cause licensing games to multiple consoles will bring in a hell of alot more cash then just for the people who own a ps3 now i have all 3 next gens...but ff13 ff7 and kingdom hearts i can put my money on them all coming out for the 360 as well
