Square Enix trademarks possible Dragon Quest V DS U.S. version |

Dragon Quest always faced limited success in the west, but it seems Square Enix still has plans to at least ship the latest remakes outside Japan. Trademark filings on the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) website succeed to hint at upcoming games yet again, as Squeenix just secured "Hand of the Heavenly Bride."If that raised your eyebrow, do note the Nintendo DS remake of Dragon Quest V's known subtitle is "Heavenly Bride." Furthermore, Square Enix previously trademarked Chapters of the Chosen which ended up to be Dragon Quest IV for DS as listed on ESRB's website.
With these in mind, it's easy to guess we'll be getting Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride soon. Since Square Enix hasn't even announced the first Dragon Quest DS remake for North America, we may be looking at a long wait before solid details surface. We'll be there if confirmations arise, so watch this space for updates!
