Square Enix to localize Valkyrie Profile: The Accused One for the DS? |

Here's a bit of a hopeful stretch that would probably instill a very welcome ray of hope for RPG fans among the Nintendo DS crowd. A recent check on the Trademark Applications and Registrations Retrieval (TARR) revealed an intriguing entry filed by Square Enix, which is "Covenant of the Plume."
Wait, what? This is pretty much a wild guess, but we're going to share Siliconera's sentiments that it may very well be the subtitle to a localized version of Valkyrie Profile: Toga wo Seou Mono (Valkyrie Profile: The Accused One). Why did we draw that conclusion? It's because of the fact that the game's logo bears a plume. Covenant of the Plume. Fits, yes?
We certainly do hope that this is the case; Square Enix still hasn't officially announced whether or not the Valkyrie Profile title for the DS will be released in our shores. At least with this discovery, we can have a small shred of hope that DS owners will finally get their their much awaited dose of Valkyrie Profile.
