Mention Shenmue III to any Shenmue fan and you'll probably get one of two reactions: a breakdown followed by uncontrollable sobbing or a vicious and expletive -filled rant against Sega. While that series doesn't seem to be getting any closure anytime soon, series protagonist Ryo Hazuki is making a comeback of sorts in Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing.

Check out Ryo looking extremely out of place yet spectacularly badass in the trailer below. Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing is slated for a February 2010 release on DS, Wii, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.

Meh. Looks like an ok game but Ryo's still a very unmemorable character in my opinion. I still own Shenmue 1 and 2 but I've never enjoyed them at all. Will be getting rid of them when I sell (or just give away) my extremely dust-covered Dreamcast at some point.

Maybe this is just an homage, or maybe it's a hint that Shenmue III is in the works?

» haha fork lift

when i saw he was riding a motorcycle i was let down. but when switched to the fork lift, that was awesome. there should be an option where you can choose between the two. but i guess doesn't matter though, not going to buy this.
