Sonic Classic Collection confirmed, coming to DS next year

Those of you who thought that Sega Classics Collection we heard about a couple of weeks ago was going to be for the DS, give yourselves a pat on the back. That's exactly what Sega Europe has confirmed.

The collection will include the original four Sonic games for the Mega Drive - Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Sonic The Hedgehog 3 and Sonic & Knuckles. It'll also come with a new save anywhere feature and extras in the form of videos and collectible images.

Sega Classic Collection will be available on the Nintendo DS handheld come March 2010.

On a big Sonic site www.sonicretro.org, in the Sonic Classic thread there was a comparison between the resolution of the screenshots and of the real DS screen size. The screens above are fake, dnoted by the height and width of the pictures not matching the DS's, and if scaled they will look like crap.

Also, in Sonic 3 the timer does not start until AFTER Knuckles takes the emeralds. Chances are the release will be nothing more than an emulator with some hacked up extra stuff like concept art to view. If SEGA thinks we still don't have enough Sonic, they should think again.

Sony/PSP fanboy, the only Sonic games that made to PSP were Sonic Rivals 1 & 2, they weren't very good comparing to Sonic Rush on DS which was damn great.

It'll be nice to play Sonic again on my DSi, just wait till 2010 comes. :P

Needs more i say moar!

But really, needs a game were you can actually BE super sonic and ect during gameplay and not just during the "Final boss" cause its bs. that and i'd like to see more hyper knuckles and turbo tails
