Console Wars Nintendo Wii Sony PS3 Microsoft Xbox 360 - Image 1The folks over at NPD will be handing in the official December sales soon, and analysts have already sent in their forecasts about how it will turn out, including Michael Pachter and Colin Sebastian. This time, it's simExchange's turn to give gamers and anyone interested their own insight about the December sales turnout.

Quite remarkably, simExchange's predictions (as presented by Jesse Divnich) for December 2007 show Xbox 360 soaring high with 1.45 million consoles sold, maintaining its lead ahead of the PS3 (which scored about 854,000 units sold). However, Nintendo's Wii still maintained its lead with a total of 1.73 units.

As for the handheld gaming arena, Nintendo's ever-popular DS is still sitting on a lofty position with an estimated 2.9 million units sold, with the Sony PSP trailing behind at 1.03 million units.

More updates to come!

I read into some of the page detailing some stuff and they claim that the PS3's ver of HL2 TOB didnt sell well cuz the userbase was too small. Yet tehy didnt mention that the game suffers from lack of dedication to the project. The port was handed to a third part by valve and when word of this hits, you're going to get ppl buying your game. Also, COD4 kicks its a$s.
