Sega, Platinum Games reveal 2009 lineup: Bayonetta, MadWorld, Infinite Line |
Ó
The deal's first release will be MadWorld, a third-person action game for the Wii currently slated for Q1 2009. This game features "a unique black and white style" that bridges graphic novels and 3D worlds. Players can use everything from street signs to chainsaws as weapons. There's some humor in it too. Heck, there's even some "entertaining sports commentary", according to the press wire.
Next up is Infinite Line. This DS RPG has yet to be given a final release title, but it does boast some pretty impressive features right now: over 200 characters and more than 150 different spaceships to build, control, and customize. Players will also reportedly be able to control multiple spaceships at any one time. Release date is set for 2009.
Finally we have Bayonetta, Hideki Kamiya's stylishly cinematic action epic for PS3 and Xbox 360. As the witch Bayonetta, players will face off against numerous angelic enemies using "outlandish finishing moves" and "balletic grace". Now that sounds pretty darn hot.
For a sneak peek at the above titles, check out the Famitsu scans below courtesy of Akayuki.com. The first two are for Bayonetta, the next two are for Infinite Line, and the last scan is for MadWorld. We'll bring you more updates about these new titles as soon as we get them, so keep checking back here.
