From over the sea of lettuce and the valley of carrots (sorry, this writer has been watching too much anime), now arrives ScummVM DS v0.9.1 BETA-4. Brought to you by Neil Millstone (agentq) and the ScummVM team, this homebrew project is speeding up to hyper drive. Just a few days ago, they have released BETA-3, and now there's an update for the testing version.

The ScummVM homebrew allows users to play the old SCUMM LucasArts games from the days of yore. Games like Sam and Max, and other memorable point-and-clicks that we've played when we were kids. Feeling nostalgic and sentimental, huh? Thought so.

Anyway, here's the change log:
  • New M3 driver
  • Fix to CD audio when using Zip files
  • Added option to disable turning the DS off (as it causes problems on some cards)
While there's not much update on the ScummVM for the PSP, we're still glad that the DS version is still making waves. Especially with point-and-click LucasArts games, this port to the DS, with all its touchpad glory, is a very much welcomed port.

Thanks a lot badam for the heads-up!
