Nintendo Accion scan - Image 1What do you see when you look at the scan to the right? Well, some people see snow, sports, and two fellas named Mario and Sonic.

Rumors about a follow-up to Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (Wii, DS) have started to circulate around the Net. The scan you see there is from the Spanish gaming mag Nintendo Accion.

It's worth noting that the silhouette seems to be taken from this image of Mario and Sonic.

The follow-up game is supposed to be set during the Winter Olympics according to Eurogamer. A CVG translation of part of the scan also alleges that the words "Olympics, cold, and winter" are mentioned.

Sega has so far refused to say anything regarding the rumor apart from a firm "No comment". IGN, on the other hand, reports that the game is indeed in the works and will be announced next month. Nintendo Accion is also supposed to do a feature on the game in their next issue.

If this turns out to be true, I hope there's balance board support. There are a lot of Winter Olympics events that it would work great with.

If they can have a #1 selling game with a low budget that sucks, why not? Of course they will cash in on idiots that think this game is fun.
