Mickey Mouse - Image 1It's that time of the month once more when stealthy ol' Quartermann is up to his old tricks, spreading juicy buzz that most of the time hold water in them. Sony PlayStation 3 fans will be excited to hear about his main revelation.

The May issue of EGM sees their stalwart rumor-kindler talking about the sequel to Insomniac Games' Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction. Quartermann says that the game will be available via a PlayStation Network download and is currently under development.

Also discussed is what could be Disney Studios' behemoth to come. According to Quartermann, the devs are looking forward to challenging Mario himself with their own platformer. To do this, they'll need a star as bright as the crimson plumber, and who better to field in than their main man - Mickey Mouse himself.

Lastly, we're told that Tecmo Bowl is still alive and kicking in its development phase. The classic rendition is still slated for the Nintendo DS, while the Nintendo Wii is still to get the remade version.

That's certainly a lot to be excited about coming from Q-mann. If his past predictions are to be looked back at, we can safely say that these rumors he just let loose have something going for them. We'll keep you posted for confirmation.

Wow, what informations. So the next ratceht and clank will be also downloadable like warhawk, man, that's big news... And even more to know! It's in developpement... wow, I'm so supprised.

And so disney is doing a platformer... man, I never thought! The 239847892384 platformer for disney, and what?

Is this really a rumor? I mean, it's not even information...

and ps: Nothing can compare to Mario, and Disney is not able to beat them at all. The team behind the mario games is really innovative and creative. Not that I really like the Mario games, but their market is big, and Disney won't make it there. Disney should stock with Squeenix for money disney action RPGs and platformers! :D

Is he talking about Secret Agent Clank? If so, the only news there is that they're planning to make it downloadable. At the end of ToD, Clank gets whisked away to help the little creatures (I forget their names) that only he could see. I was under the impression that this was the next entry in the series and I thought it was going exclusive to the PSP. I'm guessing that part hasn't changed.

As for Disney trying to compete with Mario, yeah, good luck with that... I think people got tired of Mickey about 20 years ago. Notice how there wasn't any Mickey Mouse cartoons or movies for a really long time? He's only just lately started a re-emergence of sorts with new shows on The Disney Channel. Sony tried competing in the 90's with Crash Bandicoot, and well... That didn't really work and they practically abandoned him since the PS2 launched. Crash sold them a few copies of games for PS1 and did okay in his own right, but he never caught on and hasn't been nearly as pervasive as Mario. Mario or Mario-spin-offs are in nearly 1/4 of all Nintendo games made lately, I think. Sega's been the only non-Nintendo franchise who's even come remotely close to Mario's popularity with Sonic, but even Sonic's popularity is still a far cry from what Mario has achieved.
