Prince of Persia, Resident Evil 5 details surface from Game Informer magazine - Image 1

The June issue of Game Informer magazine for this year may have clued in on how Activision is trying to imitate Electronic Arts' Rock Band in the instrument department, but it also dropped a couple more jaws when images of what appeared to be two Resident Evil 2 characters were seen at a piece covering Capcom's Resident Evil 5 (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360).

The revelations hover over a couple of never-before seen screenshots from the zombie horror shooter, which were published alongside text reminiscent of Jun Takeuchi's exclusive interview with Famitsu some time back.

One shot showed an overhead shot of a female character in the game that Game Informer assumes is Claire Redfield. Another revealed Chris holding up a blonde-haired girl, which the magazine says could be Sherry Birkin.

In another piece, Ubisoft also claimed to have overhauled combat for the stylized Prince of Persia (DS, PlayStation 3, Windows, Xbox 360). Swordfights will be kept to a one-on-one deal this time, probably like the original Prince of Persia.

Inon Zur, the award-winning composer behind SOCOM II's and Crysis' music, will be hopping into the development team to create the game's soundtrack, and there's talk that actions will now have their dedicated buttons (or keys).

So expect attacks to emerge from one button, a jump from another, and a general interact-with-environment action from yet another button. More updates as we get them.
