Taito's Lostmagic for Nintendo DS is considered the console's first role-playing and real-time strategy hybrid game. In the game, you indirectly control magician-in-training Isaac and his partners with touch screen. By tapping on the character's head, you activate him for movement or bring up that character's statistics on the upperscreen. Tapping anywhere on the map will send that character walking to that point on the land.

"The real-time strategy portion comes into play when Isaac gains the ability to capture enemies and bring them to his side. It almost has a Pokemon feel to it as you can capture - or at least try to - any creature in the game and snag him for use in your army. Like most RTS games on the PC, Lostmagic gives you the opportunity to quickly mass select your army by drawing a circle around them, which makes it easy to send a group towards a set of enemies." -IGN

"A top-down roleplaying adventure where players can summon monsters and cast one of six magic spells using the touch screen. Peace in the world is challenged by a new evil force. The only hope lies with the wizard Isaac and the seven magic wands left behind by the creator. Monsters wield unimaginable power in this realm, and as Issac, the player will use the stylus to unleash magic spells and command numerous monster squads in magical battles. During battle, you cast magic by inputting characters called "runes" using the touch pen. The game has a strong magic system, with six elemental forms and over 300 "double rune" spells that are formed by mixing runes together."

This game reminds me of Harry Potter, but Isaac looks like Anakin Skywalker. The game will be released on April 18 in the US.
