After having sold more than five million copies within Japan a mere three months after its release, the latest additions to the Pokemon franchise continue its winning streak. With numbers to back that up, Nintendo has just announced that since their debut in September 2006, more than 155 million copies of Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl have already been sold worldwide.

Meanwhile, executives are eagerly anticipating those numbers to just keep rising, once these new Pokemon games finally make their entry into North American territory by April 22. While waiting, fans can begin their preparations for welcoming these new titles by finishing the story mode in Pokemon Ranger, in order to get the Manaphy egg. This special item can then be transferred to their Pokemon Diamond or Pearl file, and then hatched in Sinnoh so that the player can start their new game with this healing Pokemon already at their side.

Wow, crazy. I liked Pokemon when it was first released a long time ago and now I hate it even more. It is never stoppable and it is same old stuff. I am sick of it. Sad, it is popular still. GEEZ. I hate it! :(

Unlike here, the japanese will buy both versions so it very well good be at 155 million. Personally i'm just getting Diamond and my friends getting Pearl and well work out the trading through each other via wifi.

Only like 30 million ds's have been sold worldwide. So if everyone in the world bought both versions it would only be 60 million
