Play DS Lite A Mile High! |
Ó
I have always wanted to play a brand New DS Lite on an airplane, a mile high in the air. I have just found out I will have my chance to fulfill my life long dream. Japan Airlines (JAL) will now be supplying custom made DS Lites for their Executive or First Class passengers. These bad boys have had their WiFi capabilities removed, so they would not interfere with the airplanes navigation systems and other fancy expensive things. Two of the four playable games on your travels will be Mario Kart DS and DS Golf. The flights from Tokyo to LA,
NY, Chicago, San Francisco, London, Beijing and Guanghzou, will be the
ones you will be able to enjoy your Dual Screened pleasures. This unfortunately is not a permanent arrangement, the extra entertainment will only last until August 31st.Thanks for the tip Steve.

You can take DSs and PSPs on planes anyway... (and play them)
And a plane I have been on has never crashed or had any interference with my toys (as far as I know).
***** using JAL's jew'd out DSs and limited game selection!
ok your gonna be a mile high with those ladies and you wanna play mario kart??? isnt there a club you should be joining??? skeet shizzle
I was talking with my frriends dad whos a pilot, and he said it was BS that wifi and cell phone signals mess up the navigation, and the only reason they dont want you to use cell phones is so you dont bother other passengers, and i can imagine that the wifi would be the same, can you imagine a competition in first class, that would be kind of funny haha
the reason they dont allow cell phones is so you have to pay to use their phones that cost as much as a gallon of gas per minute.... also it is a precaution against new cell phone types that may come out..imaginge if tomorrow sprint introduced a new type of cell phone that jammed radio frequencies of all types? i mean its possible this is sprint people!!!
I used with a friend 2 PSPs playing coded arms via adhoc and nothing happened.
ANd the cellphone interfereing is BS.
Check this:
You can't use a cell onboard because of comunications interference right?
Well TSA states that items that interfere can NOT be taken onboard AT ALL. And that they must be stored away with luggage!
