Pink NDS LiteDo you remember Nintendo's announcement to ship coral pink DS lites this September on America's side of the planet? It is September already, isn't it? True enough, the DS lites with attitude are soon to arrive (specifically September 15). They are coral pink, alright. And there are a few minor modifications also that are, to say the least, admirable.

Most remarkable is the change in the location of the Start and Select buttons. They now can be found below the four action buttons at the lower right. The microphone and power LED indicator are now at a different position, as well.

It is also hard not to notice that the NDS Lite become even more lighter, now just weighing 218g, where as the previous model was at 275g. The screen backlight can also now be adjusted up to four times.

The package for the whole new Pink DS Lite (which includes the console, 110V AC adapter, stylus, strap and instructions manual) costs USD152.00.

» Hey, guess what 1...

I don't firggin' care about using a PSP as a TV! If you want to gloat about that, go to the PSPUpdates section. Geez, some people these days...

Anyway, back to the topic, will Nintendo stop making the DS get smaller? Nice that it's lighter, but hope that'll be the last decrease or it'll just feel cheap.

» Oh brother...

Nintendo just keeps at it dont they? >_> Seems best to just wait to buy a DS after their next-gen handheld so you don't end up cheated.

» Um...

This DS Lite is no different than any other DS Lite. Exact same layout, exact same weight (the 275g is the ds Phat). This isnt really newsworthy, can I UNJUMP this news bit?

It seems like the second and third paragraphs are many months too late to be considered news.

You lose again.

» Ok . . .

Thanks for telling us things that most DS Lite owners already knew. The Coral Pink DS is no different than the white DS Lite. They are only describing the upgrades from the original DS.

» White buttons

I saw this Sunday's ad from Target for the pink DS Lite, it seems there's a minor modification from the previous Japanese pink DS Lite, the buttons for the US model are white, so are the switches. Of course maybe Target messed up or something?

Probably a mistake on Targets part. I'm showing pink all around on the US version. That would be kinda nifty though, with different colored buttons on a pink lite...
