Phil Harrison: I'd love to turn Ghostbusters in a US$ 100 million franchise

Harrison: We'll prove Activision wrong - Image 1Atari President Phil Harrison wants to prove Activision wrong for dropping Ghostbusters (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, DS) like a hot potato when it merged with Blizzard:

What Bobby, perhaps unhelpfully said, was that those games were franchises which wouldnÂ’t make $100m of revenue and generate sequels.

If that’s his benchmark, then fine – and we’d love to aspire to the same benchmarks. But you know what? I would love to turn Ghostbusters into a $100m franchise, just to prove him wrong.

So much for Atari's goal to be "just an online company," and I couldn't be happier for them. They were in trouble so... who did they call? Ok, that was cheesy. What can you do, I'm stuck in the office with a hangover just waiting to rear its ugly head. Anyway, go Harrison!

Ghostbusters was recently pushed back a couple of months to June so that the devs can add "more creepy elements" to the game. The devs stated that when Atari picked up the title, it gave them a chance to make the game better. I really want this game. I also want a Stay Puft Marshmallow Man plushie. And an aspirin.

» I see

that Harrison is doing a world of good for Atari. He seems to be taking them in the right direction to making them a house hold name again. Too bad Sony doesn't have him anymore eh?

» WRONG

a movie game is always gonna be poor. Why? Because the producer is NEVER able to make new things, he must stay around the style of the movie...

Also, the game looked lame, and it's still looking lame...

» I played an early version

I played an alpha version of this game in San Diego's Comic-Con. It sucked. Not even the hot models and the Ghostbuster car were enough to keep me entertained.
