Michael Pachter - Image 1Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter has high expectations for video game sales in the U.S. The analyst predicts that November's sales will be up 24 percent compared to last year, bringing November's total sales (across all platforms) number to US$ 1 billion.

Pachter also believes that the solid growth in software sales will continue in December and well into 2008. According to Next Generation, Pachter believes that US$ 770 million worth of sales will be due to new platforms. Older platforms are expected to bring in a respectable US$ 230 million.

Super Mario Galaxy, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (PC, PS3, Xbox 360, DS), and Assassin's Creed (PC, Xbox 360, PS3) are among the titles expected to be the top sellers for November.
