Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan Requires Your Tapping Cheer

Osu! Tatakae! OuendanThis game was only released in Japan, but fans will be delighted with the news that the Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan (roughly translated as "Go! Fight! Cheer Squad!") will also be debuting in Europe this May.

This is a very popular game in DS. It's a  musical rhythm game which requires the player to make use of his DS touch-screen system, tapping and dragging the screen in time with the music as your squad cheers on the character you've picked to motivate.

Even with the original version of Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan most of which is in the Japanese language, non-Japanese players still choose to play the game. The dialogues and the stories of the characters (which you will try to help) are all in Japanese, but you don't really need to understand them, since your main goal is to cheer them on and tap in time with the music. The 3D graphics of the game allows you to see the dialogues, the squad's moves (cheers), and the graphics that react to your performance.

The soundtrack for this game is composed of famous Japanese pop and rock songs, most of which you'll be unfamiliar with.

I heard good things about this game. I thought of importing it but if it comes to the US...

Time will tell.

They seemed to like it, and they also had the mentality of, "Sadly, this will most likely never make it out of Japan." I bet they were pleasantly surprised.
