Original Point-And-Speak phrasebook site for DS launched |
Ó
Nintendo have launched their new website for their Original Point-And-Speak phrasebook software, which is due for launch on April 20th. This piece of software will translate languages and show information for 5 different countries: Thailand, China, South Korea, the US, and Germany. Each country will have their own version, but will share the same core software. The Original Point-And-Speak phrasebook will feature a translation phrasebook, audio pronunciation of the words in the new language (handy if your as bad at other languages as me), the ability to draw on maps using the Stylus, and a range of useful phrases to use in social situations, to make you feel more at home speaking in another language. The software even has a function that answers common travellers questions, such as what power adapters to use.
The website for the US version clearly shows some of it's features, with phrases such as "I'm on my summer vacation" being shown in Japanese. By looking at this website, I'm sure that most non-Japanese speakers sympathise with me when i say that the audio pronunciation function would in handy.
