Final Fantasy IV - Image 1For those of us who got hooked on Final Fantasy III and are now eagerly anticipating the release of the next bit of portable Final Fantasy gaming goodness, Final Fantasy IV for the Nintendo DS, here's a special treat - a scan from Shonen Jump, showing some of the game's wickedly-cool art and irresistibly-cute superdeformed versions of the characters we all know and love.

Looking at the scan, it's clear that the people behind this DS remake - namely Matrix Software - has gotten a better hold of making games for the DS, as things are definitely looking more detailed and more natural this time around. The in-game characters carry their unique sense of personality, with easily-distinguishable features, costumes and facial expressions. Definitely something to look forward to - let's just cross our fingers and hope that a North American release will come soon.

Updates as we get them, so enjoy the scan!

» Can't wait

My favorite game of all time, with Xenogears a close second. Boy, this game sure deserves a 3D remake, and I'm so glad its getting one. Look how bad A$$ cecil looks. I'm wetting myself.

» Yeah.

Of every ds game since its launch, I anticipate this one the most. final fantasy 4 was my favorite final fantasy. and still is.

no story in any final fantasy has ever toped the depth of ff4.

I will have this game..

yes I shall..

» Well said.

Good to see people appreciate the finest of games still. I hear it's going to add original story that was cut out due to hardware limitations... I'm dying without this game.
