On Shelves This Week - Image 1

We've got quite a lean (Quick Yoga, anyone?) list this week, with most of the fat headed over to Nintendo consoles, particularly the DS. Not to worry, though, Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Sony's PlayStation 3 did get some bones thrown their way with Crash Time and Monster Madness: Grave Danger respectively.

We know, we know. You're craving for more action, especially since the PSP isn't represented again this week. But that's not to say there aren't anything cooking up for next week. All that's in the future. Why don't we check out today.

Crash Time: Autobahn Pursuit - If you're used to being the "bad guys" spinnin' round the cops on racing games ala Need for Speed, then this time you get to fit the other shoe. Be part of the elite "Cobra 11"  police force and solve exciting cases in several diverse missions. Helicopter chases, moving trains action and reconnaissance run in tanks included.
GRID - It's motor sport at its best yet again, with Codemasters' racing title for the DS (also and already available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC). Race across three continents in diverse locations and show what kind of moves you've got aboard your bike. This DS version will feature the track editor and will also allow you to be able to create your own race.
  • Nintendo DS - August 5, 2008
  • ESRB Everyone
  • US$ 29.99
  • Codemasters
Little League World Series Baseball 2008 - Be on the ready and as Activision brings you this baseball series with eight US and eight international teams. With the character customization feature, you'll be sure to swing up to bat in the World Series Mode.
  • Nintendo DS, Wii - August 5, 2008
  • ESRB Everyone

Monster Madness: Grave Danger - When your folks are away and you decide to throw a party with your friends, always know that anything can happen. Yes, even monsters crashing your party. Defend yourselves and defeat the monsters before they take over your town. After that, a celebration will most definitely be called for.
  • PlayStation 3 - August 7, 2008
  • ESRB Teen
  • US$ 39.99
  • Southpeak
Puzzler Collection - If you're a puzzle maniac then by all means you should pick this up. Crossword, Sudoku, Word Search, Fitword puzzles... they're all here. And with 20,000 puzzles with three difficulty levels, we're pretty sure you'll be locked on it a long time.
Quick Yoga Training - More fitness are in the work for you buffs out there. "Learn in Minutes A Day," so they claim. In the fast and furious world today, yeah, let's do take a break and enjoy some peace and quiet with portable Yoga.
  • Nintendo DS - August 5, 2008
  • ESRB Everyone
  • US$ 29.99

Rock Blast - It's another one of those colored puzzle games, but this time with a twist. An upside-down twist at that. Yes, you will be shooting colored balls to match three or more. But instead of throwing them up into the air, you will be blasting the rocks downward. That's because its lava you're up against so you better get those quick hotfingers out before you burn yourself.
