Square Enix has finally revealed the official trailer of Final Fantasy III for Nintendo DS in their website. It opens like the first teaser in the site with a spinning crystal in the middle of the screen surrounded by an art of characters from the game. Following a short movie of the same characters riding atop chocobos, we are greeted by the pleasant sight of what the game looks like.

The little chibis of the characters are well made. The environments in the game have the same stunning imagery as all Final Fantasy releases. The trailer finishes off with another short movie, with the characters going into battle with a humongous beast.

Just like in the plug, being the only Final Fantasy that wasn't released abroad, I'm sure that avid fans of this franchise are already awaiting this awesome remake, due on September of 2006.

But if it could, it would be nothing short of "amazing!" Square-Enix has done it again, and I for one can't wait for this to be released.

Most people should understand that this is not the Final Fantasy III that we all received on our Super Nintendo's, but the original Final Fantasy III for the Japanese Famicom system. The original Final Fantasy II and III were not released into the US until recently. Final Fantasy II can be found on the Gameboy Advance packaged with the updated original Final Fantasy, called Final Fantasy 1 & 2: Dawn of Souls. I suggest you go pick yourself up a copy and get a hold of a little Final Fantasy history!

# more SquareEnix!!!!! Guest 2006-05-24 04:20
I am buying this game without a doubt. Now All I want to se is SquareEnix port more of the SNES/SuperFamicon RPGS like they did for the PS1. I would kill to see Chrono Trigger and the Japanese 4-6 on the DS... Square is my absolute favorite game company

They just released FF4 on GBA, and have plans to bring out FF5 and FF6 also for GBA. I agree, I wish 6 was redone for DS.

But a new Chrono game would be amazing!

Yeah i actually listen to Liberi Fatali in the gym. Nobuo Uematsu composes this stuff. He's the best composer imo in the east for stuff like this. His talents are only matched by John Williams(star wars, zelda, etc.) here in the west.

You can believe that this game pulls out all the stops in the soundtrack dept. if this is only 'trailer' music.

# This game will singlehandedly sell DS/DS lites.Guest 2006-05-24 10:38
Nintendo needs to bow down and kiss Square's ass for this huge favor that they are doing for Nintendo. If Square had decided to release this gem on the psp instead, using the psp's uber powerful capabilities, the DS would be finished. (well not actually finished.)

they had this in a ad for finall fantasy in one of the old next gen magazines.

If it was released on cartridge it would cost $1000.
