If he wanted to get away from the pressures of development, he could have told the community, "Hey, I'm taking a break from this for a while". That would be the logical thing to do. Although the evidence that the death was fakes seems worth considering, I just dont think any intelligent human being would fake death to get out of developing a piece of freeware.

That begs the question: What defines "intelligent" these days?

You know, it could be one of his friends or family members on his accounts making sure the word that he died has been passed around. It's happened....

A car accident death is a running joke in a certain game community when said person is tired of making stuff.

If he was tired of working on the game why didn't he just say "I'm taking a break now..."? It's not like anyone was paying him to make ocrina 2D... He can just say "I don't feel like doing this. Tee Hee." and no one could do anything about it... No need to fake your own death.
