SingerStarting from now, we will all be hearing from a new guy over over at Nintendo of America when it comes to licensing and deals with other developers and publishers. Juana Tingdale, the ex-GM for their licensing division, just retired after 22 long years of fruitful service. The new person to man the post is the former VP for Nintendo of Latin America, Steve Singer.

Singer is no stranger with the Nintendo company. He actually started as the GM for Latin America back in 1999. The new official is very much aware of the rather large shoes his predecessor left behind. After all, Tingdale was there during the mid-80s' collapse and she helped rebuild the then ailing company.

"Juana is well-known and respected by licensees around the world. I look forward to building upon the relationships Juana has established as a leader within the industry," Singer mentioned. Well, get those speeches done and get over the goosebumps too, Mr. Singer! There are a lot of things to be done, especially now that Nintendo is in the middle of the console war.

We wonder how this would impact the growing library of games for the Wii and the already exciting roster for the DS.
