Ó
Yesterday, Marioland was shocked with reports that at least three of the top Nintendo of America (NoA) officials and 90% of its employees will be calling it quits because of the impending relocation to New York and San Francisco. One NoA representative confirmed that Nintendo is indeed expanding to the said areas but denied that senior officers are leaving. It appeared that the spokesperson didn't want to comment on the speculations as he mentioned that Nintendo of America hasn't heard anything about that.
Despite this, the representative maintained that the move is necessary for Nintendo to remain an industry leader. He commented,
We all believe this is the best move to ensure we raise the bar as we live, work, and breathe in the centre of technology over the next decade and beyond. We are hoping employees will see the benefit and in fact, increase morale as we show everyone how you can take it up a notch even in different locations.
The top three officials who were reported to be leaving the company were Beth Llewelyn, Perrin Kaplan, and George Harrison. The said officers are yet to give official statements about the matter.
