Nintendo - Image 1There's no stopping Nintendo in the UK - or anywhere else for that matter - as it continues to fire on all cylinders to dominate the UK's game charts the past week.

To illustrate how strong sales have been, the top ten best-selling games are going out for the Nintendo Wii and the Nintendo DS. Eight of them are exclusives while two are multiplatform games.

The two titles in the top ten are Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Transformers: The Game, which were released on virtually every platform by publishers.

To date, the Nintendo DS has sold 45 million units across the globe, outpacing lone rival Sony PSP in dominant fashion. The DS was launched in 2004 and has always led all hardware sales in its category.

The Nintendo Wii game console, which launched last year, has sold more than nine million units to date and is projected to overtake market leader Microsoft Xbox 360 in a matter of months. The Xbox 360 launched a year ahead of its rivals.
