Nintendo Treehouse Interviewed on Brain Age

Nintendo's Treehouse, the name for their localization staff, has granted 1up an interview on the upcoming game, Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day. The interview is surprisingly informal and contains lots of little details that will make your Biology teacher want to buy a DS. Seriously, I just had a lesson on this stuff about twelve hours ago... This one question and answer stands out as it reiterates the fact that this is actually doing something to your body:

1UP: Is that real? Because every time they say something in the game it's always about your prefrontal cortex. It's almost to the point where I think this little polygonal head is just making stuff up.

Alan Averill: Yes, every time he talks about increasing bloodflow to the prefrontal cortex, that's real. It's legit, and it has been tested. If you have the manual you'll see the picture in there of the guy with the huge brain colander on his head -- that is what they did. They had people actually play these games with that on their head, and they used MRI machines to check it out, and confirm that blood flow was increased to the prefrontal cortex.

There are a variety of little details in the interview that will make the game more appealing to normal gamers like most of us. It seems that there are actually goals and extras in the game, much like in a traditional game. Also, there seem to be tons of Easter eggs hidden for us to discover.  They give a few examples of what can be done in the interview.

I'd highly recommend reading  the full interview by clicking "Read."
