We all know that Japan is Nintendo's biggest market, and in true sense, this is where most of its hardcore gamers are found. So it was only a matter of time till Nintendo decided to treat its fans to something a bit special. For these fans, and again we state, only in Japan, Nintendo have opened up the Club Nintendo site. The essence of this is for registered gamers go to spend some hard earned points. These points are earned from purchasing Nintendo's goods, mainly games, and the tariffs change for various titles. So whats up for grabs you ask, well some rare and useful goods. These range from stylish DS Lite cases, notebooks, tape rolls and game storage racks. But of most importance is the Game & Watch cartridge for the DS. In this special edition release, Donkey Kong, Oil Panic and Green House are contained as a 3-in-1 game selection in double screen modes. This is available for 500 points, and would probably earn a fair dab on online auctions.

In all we just get buddy icons, wallpapers and screensavers too. I really can't figure why outisde of Japan Nintendo seems fully unwilling to try and give something back to the big 1st party spenders. To me it is a great thanks and also by word of mouth gets MORE people to buy stuff. Just seems very cheap, stupid, and in some ways cowardly to treat the customer base like that. So, I hear ya completely euros/uk'rs.
