Games Convention logo - Image 1We've heard about major gaming publishers ditching ESA (and the E3 as a result), and Nintendo is taking a similar action, only with the Leipzig Games Convention. However, Nintendo doesn't have any problems with one of Europe's major gaming events, but instead chose to adapt a different approach in showing off their games.

According to a press release issued by Nintendo Germany, Nintendo experienced "many positive experiences" after showcasing their products on small promotional events carried out locally in many different locations. This led the gaming company to withdraw from this year's Leipzig and resort to promote their games in smaller, nationwide events.

"Following the E3 trade show this year, Nintendo will start a nationwide roadshow, in order to inform our media and trade partners about the newest games as early as possible," said Nintendo Germany's general manager Dr Bernd Fakesch (translated by gaming site Nintendo Revolution).

Will Nintendo attend next year's Games Convention? Nintendo hasn't made a decision yet, but at least we know that the company's decision was not made out of resentment
