Nintendo to make 3DS announcements on January

3ds_abWe know the specs, we know the launch titles, we know the price - all those announcements, however, were for Japan. For all the things that will be different for North America, Nintendo will make the announcement early next year.

 

Announcements and reveals regarding the 3DS will come via a Nintendo-sanctioned event in New York on January 19th, which will highlight "hands-on game play, demos and a presentation by president and COO of Nintendo of America Reggie Fils-Aime." This will be a press-only event, so regular spectators and the like will not be able to try out the 3DS just yet.

 

Japan gets the new glasses-free handheld on February 26th. As for North America, we'll know exactly when soon enough.

Agreed. But will it stop you? I think I can splurge a little on myself this Christmas. Keep that money around for a pre-order.

I'm concerned with the ugly black face. That is the only problem with the 3DS. It's obviously worth any amount.

Funny you should say that. That's been my #1 complaint from the very beginning. I hate the black face. It's ugly on the Apple laptops and it's ugly here. Hopefully someone will bust out some new cases for it after it goes live.

Ah, I see we've discovered your other account. Try to hold on to this one! It'll be hard but if you try hard enough you just might be able to make it work.

Anywho, I find it very interesting that unless someone agrees 'with you' then they aren't normal. I don't like the black face. It's ugly. Deal with it.

I will buy the 3ds no matter how much it costs. Playing ports of popular metal gear and resident evil games will be a gas! Not only that but it has 3d. The advanced specs of the 3DS will no doubt overshadow whatever the PSP 2 has. I never liked the PSP because of piracy.

I don't think I've ever spent more then $20 on a HB card for a DS. Worst case scenario, new card. But I'd wait until after the 3DS is released in your region.
