Nintendo remains vague on DSi anti-piracy measures |
Ó

With the DSi now available across all major markets, numerous reports have surfaced telling of certain bootleg games not working anymore. Could the DSi have sturdier anti-piracy measures implemented as one of its other upgrades? We have heard, after all, of how the European DSi seems to be well protected against the Acekard 2i flash cart.
Though Nintendo's always exhibited a strong effort to fight piracy, they seem to be mum on the matter of DSi's anti-piracy measures. Kotaku asked them if it's true that they've employed stricter software to combat the playing of bootleg games, but a representative for Nintendo gave a vague reply:
Nintendo vigorously fights the illegal copying of video games around the world. All of our hardware and software includes technological features that combat video game piracy, but we do not disclose what those specific features are.

Acekard 2i WTF lol maybe some Bigger names should be Dropped like DSTT, R4, M3 before thinking Homebrew/backups are blocked on a DSi
Funny thing being, AK2i apparently works just fine so long as the DSi is set to English.
Anybody hear anything about Edge cards working with DSi?
Flashcarts still work on the DSi, just not all of them.
None of the old ones work.
Only updated version like
AceKard 2i, DSTTi, and some other one i forgot the name. R4i is a fake so don't bother trying to find and buying it.
The R4i is NOT a fake as I've seen one and I've used it.
It's having software problems but it is out there.
I did hear the black box version is the one with the problems where the red box is the one that works without any problems.
I tested the black box version. Waiting till the red box version comes in to test that one. Probably next week.
The EZ-Flash Vi is working but people are complaining that its slow. It loads moonshell thats why its slow but its a very good card and works fine. You can run any MP3, video, game or homebrew straight from its menu.
About the R4i as soon as you turn on the DSi it boots into its menu, it bypasses the DSi menu and goes straight into the card.
The EZ-Flash Vi needs to be booted via the DSi menu.
