Nintendo moving sales, marketing, and ad divisions from Redmond - Image 1On 4820 150th Ave. N.E. Redmond, you can find one of the largest video gaming companies in the world: Nintendo of America. A few days ago, we covered a rumor that Nintendo might be moving to a different location. It has been confirmed that the company is moving its sales, marketing and ad divisions from Redmond to either San Francisco or New York. However, the main corporate office will remain in Redmond.

This announcement came from a Redmond city official who said that Nintendo real estate executive Bruce Meyer has already confirmed the move. This relocation will affect 80 of the 756 Nintendo employees from the current office so it shouldn't be too disruptive to the company. No reasons have been given regarding for this transfer of offices.

Is this a sign of a possible expansion for Nintendo? Given their market success with the Wii and the DS, it doesn't really come as a surprise if they do decide to expand. Until they give a reason for the move, we really can't be sure.
