Rremember us reporting on being able to buy the Rumble Pak from Nintendo Japan? Well, now  can now get a Rumble Pak for the Nintendo DS, for just $9.99 via the official Nintendo store(US). This Ruble Pak is an official Nintendo product, and adds the simple functionality of rumbling on Nintendo DS games. This DS accessory fits neatly into the Game Boy advance slot on the DS, and adds realistic feedback from supporting DS games. Supporting games will show the Ruble Pak icon on the packaging if they are compatible with this Rumble Pak.

Well worth the $9.99 if you ask me!

Note: Direct linking to the product doesn't work, so click the link and search for "Rumble Pak".

Doesn't this come with games that support it?

Yes, it comes with Metroid Pinball, which is one of three games that support it. It's also been for sale on Nintendo's website for over 6 months. I'm a little confused by all these "breaking news" stories about it.

» no thanks, nintendo.

I wont buy it because it is piece of junk. I rather buy game itself not this rumble pak and it doesnt excited me at all. Stupid nintendo for wanting to get our money. Sorry, nintendo. I will not buy it.

» it sucks

it does coem with metroid pinball, but not the other games (Metroid Hunters and Mario & Luigi), and the support in both of those is pretty lackluster.

Honestly, though, it's not worth it. The rumble is noisy as hell and is not "realistic" as they state in the review. I wouldn't buy it, but if you want metroid pinball, you'll get it anyway.

» games support?

ok so there are 3 games that support it so far.

how many more can there be? if a game needs you to use the stylus then surely having your ds rumbling away is going to make the game infinitely harder. Imaging playing Kirby Canvas Curse with your ds vibrating and jumping all over the place.

I'm sorry I just don't like the idea of a vibrating console. Would anyone feel safe picking their DS up and violently shaking it about?

Also whats a ruble pack? The news posters really should proof read what they type.
