Nintendo DS Lite Press Box 'Booby Trap'

Joe Hutsko is one of the early birds who snagged a DS Lite a few days before it shipped to retail shops. Though his source close to Nintendo is known for peppering their packages to press people with swags, confettis and other eye-catching giveaways, little did he know that there's an even bigger surprise than the DS Lite itself.

When Joe opened the box, he noticed the red and black wires and a strange device taped to the bottom. The box is obviously rigged with a device but much to his disappointment it didn't blow up. He also noticed four clear LED lights taped on the 4 inside corners of the box and a light sensor. Surely, something should've happened but didn't.

Curious Joe then found that the wires of the sensor were touching, causing the circuit to short, so he pulled the wires apart and packed up the box and close the lid. Going back to step 1, he was in for a surprise:
