Nintendo beats Nintendo: Wii/DS top NPD February hardware sales |

For the month of February, Nintendo took the majority of market sales in the hardware gaming sales area. Statistics from the NPD Group have been filed, and as it stands, the Wii claims top spot in the console arena. Not much surprised, are we? Well, software sales for February did set a mark for Nintendo, too. This counts for the Wii's second consecutive month on top of the NPD charts.The console sold a total of 335,000 sales in February alone (on top of last month's 435,000), and the only ones that beat Nintendo with hardware sales were Nintendo themselves. Their NDS handheld raked in 485,000 this month. And combined, the DS and Wii took a sizable 54% of overall hardware market sales. That's a big slice of the pie, they've got there!

MS is killing the industry by making it a fps only type world. Nintendo is making the world of gaming fun for all specially the hardcore crowd for it's bringing back all the toughest games for us to play endlessly along with new great ways to play old worn out games. What is 360 and PS3 giving us other than pretty looking games that cost more than last gen games with less content and the ability to download arcade games that aren't really that great.

glad that nintendo is doing so well right now, i don't recall them ever being "greedy" as you say it, besides they are a video game company period, they don't have anything else to fall back on, not like MS with computers and Sony with electronics

how can nintendo be greedy? its just that they are the best right now. you may not agree, but if you read the artcile you would see what im talking about. the numbers dont lie no matter what any ones opinion is.
