When Nintendo's hotly anticipated US$ 250 3-D enabled gaming handheld launches on March 27th in the US, don't be surprised when you can't browse the web and download digital games using the device, as the company has confirmed, this features will only be available come post-launch.
According to Wired, Nintendo still hasn't pinned down the availability of the these features. Other functions that won’t be included at launch will be the device ability transfer their downloaded Nintendo DSiWare titles from DS to 3DS and the ability to play 3-D movies.

1. The launch line up is pretty good.
2. The battery life is a non issue.
YES! I'm very much looking forward to it.
Although, to comment on the article:
"won’t be included at launch will be the device ability transfer their downloaded Nintendo DSiWare titles from DS to 3DS"
That really stinks. This should have been nailed down prior to launch. I guess that boils down to the launch being too soon.

Bottom line is: you shouldn't expect nintendo to offer any new features except what the system comes with. Maybe they will be "generous" and give you a basic web browser, but probably not much more.

And I don't see why people are getting -'s for complaining about battery life... with so many devices nowadays lasting 7-8 hours when on the internet (my iPhone 3g gets about that) 3 just seems like they're not even trying with the hardware. It just needs a bigger battery is all.

Aside from the big 3D without glasses feature, there isn't much to be excited about.

Nintendo are practically printing money, then decide to make ridiculous decisions on the console's successor and everyone drops it. This is going to be embarassing
