New Super Mario Bros. Sells 480,000 in First Day! |
Ó
New Super Mario Bros. launched in Japan yesterday (May 25th, 2006). How much did it sell? 480,000 copies! This beats the previous record holder for fastest selling DS game, Brain Training 2. Brain Training's record was reaching 414,556 over the course of four days! This proves that Mario's platforming adventures are definitely still in high demand. The results will show quite clearly when the official Media-Create numbers come in next week. What you see to the left is the Japanese box for the game. It's in a yellow casing to resemble the yellow Famicom cartridge of the original Super Mario Bros. 36 Jumps PS Store Update US - 12/17/09

When will people ever get tired of saving princess peach. I mean is not like Final Fantasy where it's a completely different story every time with different characters and gameplay. This is the same thing with a few extras and some new add on gameplay changes. I really don't get it.
way to go mario, i hope this isn't the "final" mario XXX or anything.
Why should they be tired of Mario O.o; This is the first traditional 2D Mario game since Super Mario World in 1991. It's been 15 years. Your problem may be that you're playing Mario for the story instead of the gameplay... Not a good thing to do.
Mario always save Princess. I know. We get it. But what changes each time? It's not the story. It's the evolving journey and gameplay. That's what keeps gamers like me buying in to it and loving every minute.
