New Pokemon manga to target older audiences |
Listed in: Nintendo DS Tags: Manga, Nintendo, Pokemon
Pokemon has been around for a long time, but the game's wholesome appeal remains the same. The thing is, a lot of Pokemon players have gone up in the age bracket in that time, so Nintendo will be directing its efforts to win those fans back to the franchise.
Pokemon Black and White may have had semblances of that effort, but in Japan, Nintendo is stepping it up with manga directed to the older fans of the Pokemon world. According to the Weekly Shounen Sunday magazine, the aforementioned manga will be making its debut this March.
The Weekly Shounen targets an older audience than that of the Monthly CoroCoro Comic magazine, where the previous Pokemon manga series have been published.
The image above shows the new manga series' protagonist, but no other details have been confirmed so far.

Also, I think there are people in the older age audience that still watch the anime and play the games.
