New Need for Speed's "pre-tease" trailer |
Ó
So far, we've got zilch on the game itself though the previous report indicates that it's going to come out later this year. The trailer was a bit helpful though and flashed a date - May 31, 2007. We assume that's when Electronic Arts will do the official announcement for the upcoming video game and hopefully, which platforms it will be on. Judging from the trailer, the new Need for Speed is looking pretty.
We'll definitely mark our calendars for the end of this month. Anyway, while we wait for further announcements from EA, check out the video. Enjoy!

was getting tired of watching my car hti the wall without any damage
I love cars don't get me wrong (i'm a 1st year automotive mechanic) and all the need for speed series have been so crap I just can't see how this one will be different. How long has this game been under production? I bet 2 months were spend making this game, it's going to be a horrible game and another horrible port from the horrible console the 360. When are they going to put in some V8's not just some sticker tuned rice burning 4 cylinder cars. Who really thinks that putting stickers all over your car, having a 3 inch exhaust and a 5 inch tip, with some neons, a super ugly body kit that makes the car look like a aeroplane with it's huge wing looks cool? (I know the RX7 in the trailer is a rotary, so don't think my comments about ricers is all about the RX7).
Anyway, the trailer looks like cars are off the street this time, thank god for that. Too bad the trailer only shows a camera view around a car, and a split second crash at the end. Whats this NFS going to be called? NFS Underground 3 Circut Race? LOL!
Let's hope there is some damage. That would be cool because you know how the NFS series have a stock car driving on the roads at 250kp/h. I had to turn the kp/h speedo (I live in Australia, so over here speed is messured in kp/h) into mp/h because the speed I was driving (300kp/h) in a car was so unbelieveable.
With the stupidly crazy speeds you get in NFS crashing into a wall that speed will be interesting. 300kp/h into a wall? Ouch! There needs to be a large inventory on customable items for your car. Not just a frikn turbo upgrade, where are the supercharger upgrades? The library of cars needs to be introduced aswell.
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't EA an American company? If so why are there so many Jap cars? Where are the Holden Commodores and Ford Falcons they had way back in the old NFS? Where are the Ford F250's, Cadillac's and all the big American muscle cars? Jap cars really piss me off because they have a reputation on doing the most insane crap mods to their cars it makes you want to smash your head in.
Ahhh, if I was asked to make a car game for EA I'd make such a great game. Even better, if I had say $1 billion dollars sitting around, I'd invest all that money into a car game. I'd hire hundreds/ thousands? of developers and ask all gamers what they like to see in a game like this. Do they want downloadable content? Do they want online tournaments? Do they want thousands of mods, that are made by REAL companys? Do you want a garage where you can build your own car from scrach, make your own chassis etc? Do you want a "Car Show" option so you can show off your car to others? Do you want an online market place where people sell/trade cars and items? Do you want to place your own bets on races? Do you even want to bet your own cars? Do you want races to take place on road, off road and race circuts? Do you want to be able to just cruise around the streets and have burnout competitions? Do you want police inside the game that can bust people for doing somthing illegal?
Hahaha, the possibilities are endless when you have the money. I'd make the game EXCLUSIVE to the PS3 and you can buy it for $1. No I'm joking, I'll put it on the XBOX aswell, but make XBOX users pay $10 instead
But back to reality, this game will not be as good as I like it to be, but it may, just may be better than the other NFS they have been releasing which are all crap.
^_-
That's quite a rant...but I have to admit I stopped reading after you claimed that they have yet to put in V8's. That means you have only played Underground 1 and 2, as those two were made up of mostly tuner vehicles. As you have obviously never played Most Wanted (the best NFS game made), which by the way, included tuner, exotic, and muscle cars and you have obviously never played Carbon (the game sucked, but it did include a lot of old school as well as new school V8 muscle), the rest of your opinion means exactly jack squat.
Oh, and in those two you didn't have to do anything to your car if you didn't want to...so your comment about all the tuner gear on the car is only by personal preference only. If you want it on there, then you have that option, but if you don't want it on there, then you...GASP...don't have to put it on there.
Either way, this new NFS has potential, as do all the other NFS games...EA just has to pull their heads out of their collective asses and listen to what the consumer wants. That will probably never happen, but you never know.
let me tell you something @sswipe. nfs most wanted was a sick game and the fact that you say that ea needs to put v8 in the game sucks. first of all in case you forgot there where v8 in past nfs speed game dumb@ass. second lets take it to the track f'uckface
tuner cars rock and v8 are just a waste of f'ucking gasoline. my rice burner will crack the @ss of what ever you have to race with b!tch. and remember dumb @ss it's not a simulation game it's a f'ucking arcade style racing game. if you want a simulation racer then get Forza @sshole.
Acura
Seriously...take a Valium or something and CALM DOWN.
There's no reason to get so upset.
If you really want a driving/racing simulator, then wait for Gran Turismo 5.
IMO Forza 2 is utter crap, it just doesn't look real enough and i bet the steering is nothing compared to reality unlike GT5
hahahah acuras can lick on my nut sack
wtf, Most Wanted was the most *****TIEST GAME EVER MADE in the NFS series!! Graphical wise, and gameplay wise, Underground 2 was the clear victor, and as for carbon, it wasn't even as good as underground 2 either! If EA wants to make a damned good game, bring back the Underground Series and i'm sure you'll get the best nfs game ever.
Underground and Underground 2 were not the best. They were OK simply because they were the first to offer that kind of tuning for the series. However, those were the games that basically required ridiculous add-ons to your car in order to progress.
In my opinion, Hot Pursuit 2 WAS the best, but when Most Wanted brought back that same, intense, police pursuit style it stole the crown. That, and the style of cars was similar and you didn't have to put some ridiculous looking body kit on that Lamborghini just to progress.
OMFG *splurge* I have been waiting for what seems like an entire lifetime for the new NFS game to be released.
Let's get things settled here. NFS Carbon was by far one of those poorer games in the series. I personally think that NFS Most Wanted was by far the best one. It had solid gameplay, a decent storyline, and the graphics were incredible for the time being. Let's hope this game continues in that same course.
this teaser video is available on my website since 2 days ago. and yes in 1080p. go there http://sw2.2ya.com
my NFS playing goes like these
most played exceeding 10 hours is Underground 2
second is Underground 1 around 10 hours
third is Carbon almost 10 hours
last but not the least is Most Wanted is below 5 hours but its just because my geforce 6600 256mb wasnt sufficient enough back then to play MW on stable and good looking setting. now my 8800 rips through Carbon, but i doubt it can do the same on NFS7.
