New Luminous Ark Scans |
Ó
Luminous Ark is an upcoming Strategy RPG. It seems to be very much along the lines of games like Final Fantasy: Tactics, Tactics Ogre, or just about any game by Nippon Ichi! From the scans, we can see that the graphics use very vibrant sprites like those found in the GBA title Riviera: The Promised Land. SRPGs aren't exactly known for focusing on graphics after all.
The touch screen can be used which should ease the pain of going through all the menus the average SRPG requires! The music and character design are being done by Yasunori Mitsuda and Shibano Kaito respectively so there are high expectations for this game.

I've been waiting for a ff tactics type game that is similar to the original fftactics on the ps1. This game is looking great and I hope it plays well and comes to the states.
I like how "awesome" said "the original fftactics". I, as well as many, many others, wish for a tactical game along the caliber of the original Final Fantasy Tactics. Tactics GBA really wasn't up to its par, and I, personally, disliked it for many reasons, namely the rule system. That has got to be the stupidest strategy impediment ever.
