Naruto: Path of the Ninja goes gold, ships October 23

Naruto: Path of the Ninja - Image 1Tomy Corporation and D3Publisher of America, Inc. have announced that Naruto: Path of the Ninja has gone gold. This retelling of the various Japan-only Naruto RPGs has headed to production and will ship to retail on October 23.

Naruto: Path of the Ninja for the Nintendo DS handheld video game console is the first Naruto RPG to be released in north America. It features a unique time-based combat system in which players must determine each characters' strengths and use them accurately to help them defeat their enemies.

Players can choose from six available characters: Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Shikamaru, Neji and Rock Lee. To defeat the enemies and bosses players will encounter along the way, there are over 90 different special techniques to choose from and execute. Just picked up Naruto: Path of the Ninja along with Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution for the Wii, which also came out today! Both games are pretty sweet in there own right. One feature I love about Path of the Ninja is that you can use the DS stylus to attack enemies and perform combos!

I was reading today that there is also going to be a Naruto launch party this coming Saturday at the Nintendo World Store in New York's Rockefeller Center. The main even is going to be an innagural Ramen Noodle Eating Contest to ring in the new games. Sounds pretty cool...gonna try to make it into the city;)
