"Choosing sides is only the beginning."

The latest trailer to Activision's Transformers: The Game (Xbox 360, PS3, PC, Nintendo DS, PSP) is now available on IGN, and...in all sincerity, it just blew yours truly out of his comfy computer chair and into next week. The one-minute clip doesn't show much, granted, but it reveals a striking similarity to The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction - in the sense of being able to destroy everything in your path (which is ALWAYS a good thing). The Autobots and Decepticons are laboriously modeled with striking detail and intricacy - and if the last few moments of the clip are anything to go by, you'll be able to transform seamlessly while in motion. If there had been any doubts of the game's quality, we're pretty sure this could change things.

Growing up, I wasn't a Transformers fan. This trailer alone makes me want to rethink my childhood.

» Nice

Nice to see some video on this game. It's too bad the DS is the only one with the customizeable player characters. The 20 playable on the PSP almost makes up for it. ;) Shame I don't have a PS3 yet. Looks like I'm stikcing with the PS2 and PSP versions.

And yeah, you forgot the PS2 on the list of available platforms.

» ROLL OUT AUTOBOTS

Wooo, this better be a great game! There's never been a great transformer game I can remember.

I used to play one for the Commodore 64... pretty decent. Hey I'll emulate it on psp!

» Why excited?

The trailers always look better than the actual game. This game still has a huge potential to completely suck. I wouldn't get your hopes up just yet until you see some real gameplay footage not some flashy trailers with miliseconds of possible gameplay mixed with video. Too many good looking games have been messed up on the Psp for me to get excited.

» Wow

Now that stores are trying to blow out their PSP stock to get rid of their PSP sections that never sell anything, I want to go buy one so I can have 20 playable characters. WOOT.

» well

At least the movie looks good, this trailer dosen't look THAT great, could have been better, and it dosen't show any in-game video, so you still don't know what its like at all.
