More info, screenshots and clues about Insecticide |
Crackpot Entertainment and Gamecock Media Group have just released new info on their bug shooter, Insecticide for the DS and PC. Ready to get into the mystery?
Insecticide will take us to a world dominated by... well, bugs. Insecticide has the gritty feel of the classic gumshoe movies plus gameplay of classic adventure titles. Players would need to collect clues from the fully interactive world to solve a murder in a company. Lead detectives of the Insecticide Squad, Chrys Liszt and Roachy Caruthers, will solve crimes in the city using a variety of weapons and in-game items.
"Unique input options" will be made available for the different versions of Insecticide. It was previously reported for the PSP, though there was no sign of it on the recent report. On the other hand, the DS version will be sporting additional features, such as a multiplayer mode (presumably over WiFi).
Rick Stults, Console Chief for Gamecock, had this to say,
The heart of classic detective novels and movies is to get the audience involved mentally, but now via PC and the Nintendo DS we can get players involved in a much more tactile arena. The mouse and the stylus are the key to the 'touch and feel' experience weÂ’re really aiming for with this game and I think thatÂ’s something players are really going to enjoy.
Insecticide will be hitting store shelves come holiday season this year. We'll get you more info on this as it becomes available.

I also thought there was to be a PSP version. But I guess I will get it on the DS instead. I do hope for the future though that this game will come out also on the PSP.
