Monster Rancher DS - Image 1How does Tecmo's Monster Rancher series translate onto the Nintendo DS? Pretty well, we reckon, with the exception of the whole "using discs to bring out monsters" thing.

We've got new footage of Monster Rancher DS in action, featuring everything from the summoning of your very own monster to the exploration and battle gameplay. As with the rest of the Monster Rancher games, you start off as a neophyte monster farmer who's tasked with raising and taking care of monsters for battle. Instead of summoning monsters by using discs though, you instead have to draw and speak to your Nintendo DS to summon a monster.

In any case, with a video that features the art of monster summoning as well as monster battles, there's certainly something worth watching out for in Monster Rancher DS. Enjoy the vid!
