Monster Hunter coming to 3DS? |
Listed in: Nintendo DS Tags: 3ds, Capcom, monster hunter, Nintendo

The Monster Hunter franchise is one of Capcom's sure things. Every time a new installment comes out people in Japan go out it droves to buy them. So far, we haven't heard about the next Monster Hunter game yet but there seems to be a possibility that one could be released for Nintendo's 3DS handheld.
Capcom CEO Haruhiro Tsujimoto has been quoted as saying at the latest Gemaga, "3DS is releasing, too, so (it seems like) the time to switch to a new platform is coming."
It's not surprising that Capcom seems to be considering putting a Monster Hunter game on what promises to be Nintendo's next money machine, but Monster Hunter fans should hold off until an official announcement is made. The above quote comes without any context since the rest of what was said hasn't been fully translated yet.

Capcom was able to use there Resident Evil 5 engine to run on the Nintendo 3DS. The 3DS is actually more powerful than the Wii, PS2 and PSP.
I don't blame Capcom on thinking of making the next Monster Hunter on the 3DS.
If you didn't know that there are more DS owners than the 360 and PS3 combine.
Money talks, company would make more for the device that have the most users.
You are about to see 360 levels of gaming but on a handheld. Nintendo just use Old technology? Where in a worse economy shape around the world. Right know video games is the last thing in the minds of people. Company's are going to have to find a way to get consumers to buy. Making product that cost $400, $500, or even $300 is just to much. The new 3DS is almost about to cost $300. And no it's not a old technology. Unless you think making a tech the size to hold it with your hands having 360 levels of graphics is nothing new in a mobile than hey show me the tech. No the ipod touch is as powerful as a PSP.
I just find it funny that everyone thinks the 3DS is just a DS but with 3D effect. Not knowing that the next Resident Evil coming on the 3DS is using the RE5 Engine. That is not old tech. Well whatever.
I'm more worried about everything going digital download. Just look know there is this OnLive console in the US.

That's all pre-release hype. Don't get that confused with FACTS.
The gameboy advance promised 3d gaming before release. Then a portable super nintendo was released (3d effects are not real 3d.)
The virtual boy promised, guess what, VIRTUAL REALITY. Just look what that optimistic pre-release hype led to.
Now that the 3DS is announced, we know it has 1.5 GB of flash storage, 64 MB of RAM, 4 MB of VRAM, a 113 MHz GPU, and two 266 MHz ARM11 CPUs.
Just compare that to a 360 or PS3. There is no comparison.
You did do a good job of proving you will believe what any company will tell you though.

IF it uses the ARM11, it MIGHT drop down to support older games.
Also, what we know as FACT is the 3DS will use the PICA200 GPU. This GPU is rated at 200MHz. Not the 113 you parroted above.
"You did do a good job of proving you will believe what any company will tell you though."
You did a good job at spreading what RUMORS you read off the internet. In fact, the BS you mentioned above came from:

Notice the word RUMOR in the title?

I'll just say that the 3DS has the capabilities of a gamecube, more or less. Nintendo has traditionally made their handhelds 2 generations behind the consoles.
No, nintendo is not going to run the ARM11 at 350mhz because the battery life is bad already. You fail. I'll mention it again when the final specs are released.
The PSP processor is rated at 333 mhz, but sony ran it at 222 mhz to save battery life until recently.

Seriously? You use WRONG information to try to tell someone else they are wrong?
That makes you a fool.
Then you wrap up your post with that snide remark in the end?
How moronic can you possibly be?
The only fail going on around here is you. Proven by you getting banned over and over again. Along with me, as always, proving how horrible WRONG you are with your bogus information.

let's face it guys, this game would NOT have sold as well on the PS3 or 360, Japan loves the portable monster hunters to death and they sell very nicely over there. anyone whining about NOOOO MY GRAFICS can go crying back to black ops.
