Mirror's Edge demo developed for Wii, DS, PSP? |

Is Faith leaping off to other platforms specifically to the Wii, DS and PSP? We've heard of the game getting a sequel, but not this. Unseen64 is reporting that Electronic Arts has commissioned Backbone Entertainment to create a demo of Mirror's Edge (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) for the aforementioned platforms.
They even have a screenshot of the alleged Wii demo, although the DS and the PSP status remains to be unknown. And what do you know, based on the screenshots it looks like they're tweaking the gameplay to let the players see Faith spring and fly in action. In third person in other words.
If this be the case, it looks like the devs and publishers did take into account the sentiments of many players who felt that it was such a waste not to see what Faith was doing because they had Faith's view.
I'd personally say it would be cool to have the game in third-person. It's parkour. Unless you do it yourself, it's meant to be seen from a different angle and perspective, otherwise, it's just gonna be dizzying. However, for the sake of those who do prefer the first-person perspective, maybe they can make it a switchable option?
But am getting way too ahead of myself. There's still no official word on this, but just in case, we'll let you know, as usual.

So it is possible that this is a screenshot.

In this video, the PC version was modified (very easily, in fact) to switch Mirror's Edge to a third person view. The only reason why a third person view would be somewhat difficult is because as you can see, the animations are over the top to make it seem normal in first person mode, so they'd have to redo all of the animations, and probably some of the collision detection as it isn't quite right in third person.
