Mega Man ZX,
or Rockman ZX as it's known in Japan, was released recently. Through our wonderful Japanese friends, we've learned that it features a connection with the Mega Man Zero games for the Game Boy Advance. To be specific, it is compatible with both Mega Man Zero 3 and Mega Man Zero 4.

What happens you ask? Well, by having the MMZ3 or MMZ4 cartridge in the GBA slot while you play MMZX, you'll be able to fight bosses from MMZ3 or MMZ4 in MMZX (go go acronyms)! You'll be able to fight four from each game. By defeating all eight boss characters, you'll unlock a special stone. Below we have some screenshots of the bosses in action, courtesy of Famitsu.

Not a bad idea...

OK, I know that this has been done before on other console systems (and combinations of them), but on the Nintendo DS the idea of using Gameboy Advance games to unlock or create content in newer games would definitely be a good move if it catches on. One idea that I hope will one day be worked on is a Pokemon-like Nintendo DS game will one day be developed which loads sprite and character data from Gameboy Advance cartridges in order to generate playable characters, it would take a lot of time to develop but would definitely be impressive.
