Mario Kart DS Knows Where You Sleep |
Ó
When Mario Kart is started on the Phat DS, it greets the player with a few engine roaring sounds and Mario's voice saying, "Yahoo!" But, when the game is started on a Lite DS, the player is greeted with engine roaring sounds and Mario's voice saying, "Here we go!"
Coincidence? I think not! This odd phenomenon leads to some questions: Does Animal Crossing know if you are wearing boxers or if you are wearing briefs? Does Brain Age memorize your alcoholic beverage preference? Does your mother know you're in a relationship with Luigi? Updates will be posted as we exploit these insightful inquisitions.

Why would it change?
Weird
It only depends if the GBA cartridge is in the GBA slot, nothing else.
Thank you #3! I'd been wondering what the heck was causing it to be different! I knew it wasn't the Lite because my original DS also alternated between the "Here we go" and "Yahoo" sounds.
This is the most retarded newspost I've ever seen.
Lol funny. The only reason we get so much "news" that is absolute rubbish like this is because the bloggers get paid per post that they make. I wonder tho if they got money deducted for every mistake they made would we see so much excrement like this or would the news become news again.
And QJ is SLOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOW with posting new stuffs D:
I've got an original DS (firmware ver. 2), and I'm always greeted by a "Yahoo!", whether I have a GBA cartridge in the slot or not.
Anyway, this shadows the real problem: my old Gameboy Color used to know if I'd eaten a healthy breakfast, and would chide me if I didn't do my homework on time.
that's not really funny at all... what a buch of nerds
Why would anyone post this? Save the space for something accually worth reading
is there a possibility/use of a modchip for the ds light? any rumors anything about one?
If I remember correctly, the M3 Perfect (http://m3adapter.com/main.htm) works with the DS Lite.
You actually have to mod some things by following this tutorial: http://www.dualscene.net/viewpage.php?page_id=41
i have an original DS and i get "here we go" everytime i start up
i always thought it was based on how far you are in the game because when i first got the game i got a yahoo every time then when i beat the game, all characters and stuff, i hear mario like every time now...
I don't think it's that, as I've beaten the game, unlocked all tracks, characters, got Star (or better) rating on all tracks... and I still get "Yahoo!".
This is so incredibly old its not even funny. At a website I go to in one of the sections researched this, it has been narrowed down to the fact the DS Lite uses a different firmware to other models of the DS we have recorded and compared different samples tested the firmware on every type of DS.
Overall its just because the DS Lite operates on a different firmware.
whenever i turn mine on it says "full stream ahead" but i have the R kelly golden showere edition..its very rare as i had it custom made because "i'm rich beehotch!!!
