MarcaDS v3.0 means more infinite arcade credits |
Ó
Alekmaul's MarcaDS meant emulating coin-op arcade classics on the DS screens, all with an unlimited supply of coins to pop into the virtual machine. Now, it's been bumped up to v3.0, with a new launcher screen, and a remade emulation engine so it can handle a larger library of titles. How many games? "Too much others games (more than 100...) to talk about them :) !"
Not everything is perfect, even with 3.0: One line in the changelog indicates sound has been added to some games, "at least". If some games don't have sound emulated, then there we go, something to work on for the next release (The source site for this article contains a list of supported arcade games, and whether sound is emulated or now).
The package comes with the basic emulator, BUT NO ROMS. Don't ask Alekmaul, don't ask us, if you've been around the emu scene long enough, you know what to do. Just remember you're looking for UNCOMPRESSED compatible arcade ROMS, just like with v1.0. Full instructions for converting the ROMS into files that MarcaDS can read are in the Readme.
Now if you will excuse this writer, he's got a high score in PacMan to beat - WHA? No high score saving yet?
