Maple Story DS to ship everywhere in September

Maple StoryThe DS version of the PC RPG Maple Story has not only been re-confirmed by its Korean gaming developer Nexon, the company even gave it a release date: sometime September 2007.


News of Maple Story for the DS first surfaced at E3 2006. Since then the buzz died down until these recent info came out. According to resurrected buzz, Nexon has a dedicated team headed by the company's Managing Director Hyong-No Kim working on the game.

The DS version will stick to the game's PC gameplay such as the variation of jobs, skills, and battle system. But new elements aimed specifically for Nintendo's bestselling handheld will be added. Maple Story will be a side-scrolling action RPG with an avatar code system.

Maple Story DS will be released in a special DS bundle initially in Korea. Don't worry, the game will also be available in Europe, US, Japan, and Australia.

i know maple story is an mmo on the pc, but they only say that it's a side-scroller RPG for the DS, concerning me to this: are they taking out the multiplayer aspect of it? if its no mmo, then its a no-go for me.

I love the PC version of the game and have played it for many years (5) and love it todeath i cant live without it i hope when it comes out on the ds it will be JUST as good as the pc version MAPLESTORY ON THE GO BABY!

Just be patient, it will come out eventually. As for wi fi, maybe, just maybe they will add something when we least expect it, but I kind of doubt it. Still getting it no matter what though. It will be good to get away from all of the retarded fat Asian kids that act so tough and like they're the best on MS.

i bought the korean version, it has a story line, you can start off with either a male thief, that uses thriwing stars and daggers, or a warrioir female. There is also another two classes which look like bowman and mage, but i do not know for sure.

well seeing as how i first heard about this in 2007.. when i still played. and they just now released the game in south korea, i dont think il be willing to buy it when it is released in North America. D: too bad.

I'm still waiting for the US, EUR, Australia release... Anything that's in english... Darn it's taking too long!! I don't have an iphone to play the games being released by nexon right now... i really wish they'd AT LEAST translate the korean version to english... :(
